  • How can I book a camping spot?

    You can make a reservation using the ticket shop at worldchampionships.bmxpapendal.nl.

    Yes, you can.

    Can I cook food at the campsite?

    Yes you can cook your own food, but only using gas. Use of coals and open fire are forbidden.

    Is there electricity present?

    Yes, each camping spot has one power source.

    Which sanitary facilities are there?

    Is there drinking water present?

    Yes, we provide drinking water points.

    When can I check-in and check-out?

    Check-in is possible:
    o Thursday August 12 2021 from 14.00 – 20.00h
    o Friday August 13 2021 from 09.00 – 20.00h
    Check-out is not necessary.

    Is smoking allowed?

    It is only allowed to smoke at the designated smoking areas.

    Can I bring my dog?

    Dogs are allowed at the campground, but on a leash. Dogs are not allowed at the event area / near the BMX track.

    Can I camp right next to my family / friends?

    It’s not possible to book two spots, next to each other. If you want to camp next to each other, make sure you arrive at the same time. For example by gathering at Planken Wambuis carpool.

    I have a small tent, can I book a smaller camping spot?

    It is not possible to book a smaller camping spot.

    I have a large camper, can I book a larger camping spot?

    The camping spots are quite large (60 m2 – 10x6m or 9x7m). If your camper doesn’t fit, you need to book two camping spots. When entering the area, we will check whether your camper fits on one spot. If not, you can book a second spot (if the campsite is not sold out).

    Is their any first aid help present at the festival / the camping?

    First aid help is present at the festival, not on the camping. There is always in-house emergency response present at Papendal, you can reach them via +31 (0)6 81431051. For life-threatening emergencies call the national emergency number: 112.

  • Where can I buy my ticket?

    You can only buy a ticket using the official ticketshop at worldchampionships.bmxpapendal.nl.

    What kind of tickets are there?

    There are different types of tickets, for one day for example, but also weekend tickets or passe partout tickets for the whole week:

    As a rider, do I get a free ticket for other race days?

    During the week riders have free access to the event / the stands. The elite races are not free accessible, other riders need to buy an extra ticket to attend the races. Supervisors don’t get a free ticket, they need to buy a ticket.

    I booked a camping spot, do I have free access to the BMX races?

    No, to get access to the event area and stands you need an extra ticket.

  • How can I travel to Papendal?

    Papendal is centrally located, near the A12 and A50. We advise visitors to use public transport though, or to travel by bike if you leave nearby Arnhem. Breng Bus 10 drives from Monday till Saturday from Central Station Arnhem to Papendal. The bus stops on site. From the bus stop it’s a 15 minute walk to the event area.

    Do I need a parking ticket?

    Yes, you do need a parking ticket. We advise you to purchase your parking ticket in advance, using our online ticket shop on this website. Then you now for sure, you have a parking spot. If you last-minute decide to come by car, and you do not have a parking ticket yet, you can buy one on site.

  • Can I bring my own food and drinks?

    On the festival site / near the BMX track it is not allowed to bring your own food and beverages. You can bring your own food and beverages to the campsite, if you have booked a camping spot.

    No, on the festival site dogs are not allowed.

    I am wheelchair bound, is the event area accessible to wheelchairs?

    Yes it is, the event area consists of a hard grass surface (it can become soft though in the case of bad weather). You can buy a specific wheelchair ticket using the ticket shop (1 accompanying person allowed), our special wheelchair spots provide you with a great view on the track.

  • I have an allergy, is it possible for me to buy food on site?

    We have a wide selection of food trucks on site, together they provide in a wide selection of meals. We have no doubt you can find yourself a proper meal. Of course all food trucks will provide in allergy information.

    I am a vegetarian, is there any vegetarian food available on site?

    Can I bring my own food and drinks?

    On the festival site / near the BMX track it is not allowed to bring your own food and beverages. You can bring your own food and beverages to the campsite, if you have booked a camping spot.

  • Where can I find the information concerning my own races?

    You can find the global schedule on this website (menu – event info). In addition you can use the BMX Worlds App, here the starting lists will be uploaded. Also, the UCI will publish the starting lists somewhere near the BMX track so all teams have access to the racing information.

    Where can I find the program of the festival?

    On this website (menu – urban festival), you can find the program of the festival. In addition we advise you to download the BMX Worlds App, then you have all information available at any time.

  • Can I practice on the Papendal BMX track, in preparation for Worlds?

    There are possibilities for clubs or teams to rent the BMX track at Papendal for training sessions. For additional information, the conditions and to make a reservation, contact Henny Kroon via sportcentrum@papendal.nl / +31 (0)26 483 4555. From 7 till 25 August 2021 it is not possible to rent the track, due to preparations. There will be some open training sessions as well, more information will follow later on.
